This room has officially been renamed the "work room". Why you ask? Well, first, because it has the washer and dryer in it. The washer was in the kitchen (not happening, did that for 5 years) and the dryer was on the back porch, yes, the back porch. So, my very wonderful and handy hubby, moved them into this room. We chose this room because there was easy access to the plumbing from the bathroom which is on the other side of the wall. There was really no other choice, we have a cement slab foundation (the wise man built his house upon the rock, I mean, concrete) and in order to put in in somewhere else required digging up the concrete and all that. Plus, the other place to put it was in the family room (formally known as the garage) and I didnt want to hear the washer and dryer while I was watching TV (or something else since we dont have a TV).
It is also called the "work room" because, through no fault of my own (and I mean that), this room will be mine. Yes, mine. It will be my sewing/scrapbooking/craft/creative space. Isnt my husband so nice? So because this space is mine, I wanted to colors to be mine. Something that would inspire me, calm me, and make me happy. So...yellow (my favorite color) and red were put in this room. Here are the before and afters! (I really love this!)

Great paint job huh. Its like they ran out of paint toward the bottom there. And this looks red...but it was bright orange. Yes, it was an orange, green and weird yellow color room.
Oh, and those are spackling patches from all the little holes in the wall.

Great job, looks good. Why red? Isn't that an angry color?
well done. you guys are remodel pros.
You are right--that yellow looks a lot brighter than the color in person. It looks SO good though. You are awesome blossom! Not sure what that means, but it's gotta be good! :).
Very bright! you should get a lot of creative juices flowing from that room. Everything is look'n good. It is a lot of hard work, but very worth it.
Hey! We're a Greenberg family too! (Only, with the "e").
Found your blog through your post on thriftydecorchick today. LOVE the colors in the new room.
Great job!
