Apple Hill 2011

This year, since Alaina is in school all day, we chose to head to Apple Hill on a Saturday. This also meant that DaDdY got to go too!
We went with our BFFs, the Marshalls, again this year. They make it extra fun.

First stop was to Grandpa's Cellar, where we had a little picnic on the grass for lunch.
The kids were SO excited to get out of the car!

The kids got to meet and pet an Emu. (Notice Alaina clinging to Bret in the background. Weird ugly birds dont do it for her I guess.)

Benny and Emily. Dont you just want to bite his little cheeks?!

After lunch we took the little nature trail to the neighboring farm.

There we got to feed some animals.

Cows have hilarious tongues.

Then we headed over to Abels, which was SO busy!

The kids got to ride horses or ponies. They thought that was the greatest.

Benny is just too cute not to take pictures of.

Cay got to ride the cutest little pony Ive ever seen.

She took the whole ride very seriously.

We ended our trip with some fresh apple doughnuts. Yum!

And zonked out on the ride home.

What I learned from this year's Apple Hill trip:
1. Never go on a Saturday.
2. Drink more water.
3. But not too much...
4. Find somewhere closer with pony rides.

Fun!! Will you add my other email address - I only used greenburg.family@gmail.com for my old blog, which I'm deleting b/c of the new one. Would you change it to greenburgcarolyn@gmail.com? Thanks :)
