On the second day of Career Week the garbage workers came to show the kids what they do. They brought a regular garbage truck, and a recycling truck. They showed the kids how the compartments move on the trucks and how they get all the trash out when they get to the dump. Then they each got to look inside the trucks too.
When the kids went back to class Mrs. Durio gave a little lesson on recycling and introduced a recycling bin in the class.
I thought that was pretty neat.
