Dusty

We are working hard to get our family room finished so we can start using it! Its going to be so nice to have that room up and running.
It was the garage. The people who converted it only converted it part way. There was no carpet, and thee was fabulous wood paneling on the walls. There were also these weird white tile things on the ceiling.
Here is a picture of it before we moved anything in.

Anyway, I was fine with primering and painting over the paneling and even tried it on a piece to let Bret see how nice it would look. I was shot down, he didnt like it. He hated the paneling.

So, we tore it all out, including the ceiling tile thingys.
That left a hot mess of dry wall that hasnt been taped and mudded. And some that needed repair, okay, a lot that needed repair.
So, we went to work taping and mudding.

And what comes after taping and mudding? Sanding.
Good Ole Sanding (I hate you).

Because of this...

And this...all over my house.

Susan had fun playing in it though.

So did Alaina.

Oh what fun:)

Braelyn took this one.

I think I took like nine showers in three days.

We have a lot of work yet to do, but we will keep you posted:)

Ah the drywall dust. I am always amazed at how far it travels and how well it coats (everything). I feel your pain. Jeri

You two are so cute together- especially covered in dust! Seriously though, I am so impressed with all the work you are doing- those are some serious skills!
