Back Yard Clean Up

We pulled out a lot of JUNK from our house when we bought it. You know, like wood paneling (twice), deteriorated and rotted carpet, ceiling tiles, walls, floor tiles (the asbestos kind:), shelves, counter tops, kitchen sinks, trees and anything else that was old and dirty and not cute.

It had to go somewhere...and it went to our side yard.

That is a big ole pile of nasty. Its as tall as the fence.

And on the porch were things like old moving boxes, trash from projects...

broken sliding glass doors, paint cans, dry wall and all kinds of useless things that have gathered together through this remodeling process.

Then my Dad came up with my Grandpa's big trailer and he and Bret hauled if all off.
Three trips to the dump...

There was a family of mice living in the carpet with little babies and everything. Bret kindly picked up two of those babies and put them in the trailer with all the other junk. We like to think that they are living happily at the dump. Thats a mouse's dream right?
The other two had an ill fated meeting with my Dad's boot.
Hes not as compassionate as Bret...
But...a cute little baby mouse turns into a big adult mouse...who will probably try and get into my house and eat my food storage again. So...it is what it is.

Now we can enjoy the backyard a little more.
It still needs a TON of work, but its better.
