Garden

When we moved in, the previous tenants left an old beat up armoire on the driveway. It sat there for three months because we didnt quite know what to do with it. (I wish we had a before picture but we dont so oh well:) So...Bret gutted it...

with Caylee's help....
And turned it into three garden boxes:)
See, Summer, he doesnt just nap:) haha
I planted the garden last week. I never liked gardening. I never did it and really never wanted to. I started doing this out of obligation of having a garden. Something about being self reliant. Anyway, I started researching it and such, bought all the stuff, planted our seedlings and watched them grow. When I started putting these teeny little plants that I nurtured and grew into the ground (well, not really the ground) in our garden I felt giddy and happy. I have to say, I love my garden. Im excited to watch it grow and take care of it.

Here is what we have:
In this box we have (from left to right) cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes and in the back sweet peas (a lot of sweet peas!)

From left to right- pumpkin, cucumber and zucchini, corn on the side.

This box has strawberries, carrots, broccoli and watermelon (the girls picked the watermelon).

Its so fun to watch them grow!

And in other areas of the yard the roses are budding. I LOVE roses:)

Im very new at this and probably didnt do some things right, but that is how we learn right?
