Virgina City

While my Mom and Susie were here, they took the train from Carson to Virginia City.  We met them there for a little bit.  I hadnt been to Virginia City since Alaina was a wee one, so it was a lot of fun.  The girls seemed to really like it too.

Their favorite part, by far, was the Bucket of Blood Saloon.  They kept asking, "Why is such a pretty placed called such a gross name?!"

At the BOB Saloon we watched a banjo played for a while.  The player piano was hooked up electronically to play along with him.  Technology these days....

Then we went on a tour pulled by a tractor.  We thought that was neat.

Well, most of us did :)

Sue got to feed a donkey.

We said bye to Gramme and Susie as they rode off on their train bound for Carson.

But we decided we wanted to ride a train too, so we did :)
Alaina was SO nervous to stand in front of this train.  She was certain it was going to start moving and run us over.

Dash liked it too, except for when the whistle would go off.

After I took this picture my phone died (which is what I was taking pictures with.  I had brought my camera, but the batteries were dead.  Joyful.)  So not pictured is our trip to the ice cream parlor where we shared a huge ice cream sundae.  It was a fabulous day trip.
