2011 Will be the Year of....

Every year now for a few years I have a year long goal. My main goal for the year.

2008 was the Year of No Chocolate.
2009 was the Year of the Book.
2010 was the Year of the House.

2011 will be the year of EXERCISE!

What? Youre not as excited about this very long and tedious year to come as I am? Well I just cant wait! (dripping in sarcasm:)

I am doing a year of exercise for a couple reasons.
1. I want to be healthy. Bret works out like a mad man, and I kinda want to be old with him. And not like, in a wheelchair while he is still rock climbing and hiking around either. I want to BE with him. And...I want to be an active Grandma and such too. I know its a long way down the road, but I think about it now.
2. I want to establish good and lasting habits. This year is not about loosing weight and being skinny (but that would be nice), its about finding a type of exercise that I enjoy. Right now, I think about working out and I shudder, find a million excuses, and decided to do something else instead. Because, I hate working out. Its not fun to be in pain people.

So, I have two sub-goals to go with my year of exercise.
1. I need to work out a half hour four days a week. Not too bad eh.
2. I want to find a work out that works for me, and that I can enjoy doing.

So there you have it, my 2011 goal of the year.
