My parents were here last weekend for a visit. They towed thier CJ-7 with thier x-terra so we could all go four wheeling together. Bret had burried a little bag full of change in the hill behind out house two weekends ago so we could all go find it with the GPS while my parents were here. That was pretty fun and we eventually found it.
Here are some of us following the GPS to find the "treasure".

My Dad digging it up.

The proud treasure hunters.

Then we had lunch on top of the hill. It was a really nice day.

Aw, family pic:)

I really like this picture my Mom took. Braelyn thinks the Jeep is hers!

Happy in the Jeep. Dont even ask about the pacifier...I dont understand that child.

About five minutes later. It was really bumpy too!

Ok, so this takes some explaining. This is an area of the road that was covered in ice and snow plus it was already very off camber and very scary. Bret and I were in the Jeep leading my parents and we got through this lukcily without incident and without me going into preterm labor. It was "turn your hair grey on the spot" scary. So when we finally get on dry, level ground, I sigh in releif and look behind me just in time to see the x-terra's backend go off the edge of the road. You can kinda see in the picture that there was a steep hill on either side. My Dad tried to fix it but it ended up verticle across the road (like in the picture). BAD! We had no idea what to do. We tried a few things but ended up not having any other choice but to back the x-terra down the steep hill and up a dry one then not tread lightly across county to the nearest road. This might not sound all that bad but the snow was like a foot deep, the hill was steep and the bushes were really big. The worst thing that could have happened, and we were aware of, was that because of the snow, my Dad could back down and the front end would slide down and he would roll down the hill. That, bytheway, is never good. So with much anxiety and worry he backed down the hill perfectly and was able to drive across the desert without hitting any pot holes, trenches, ruts or big rocks. It was a miracle and we were very blessed.
Lesson- Never go four wheeling in the snow!!!!!!

All in all, once we got safe and sound, it was a fun day. We did go looking for adventure after all didnt we.
