Happy Fourth of July!

We all went down to Carson with Bret's family for the Fourth. The Fourth of July is also a great day because its my birthday! Yay! So it always serves double duty. It was fun because we took the tent and sleeping bags down and slept in the backyard, Alaina's request. It went well except sleeping outside in a city is a lot less peaceful then sleeping in the middle of a campground.

These are the Fourth of July dresses I made them. Braelyn managed to rip hers a half hour after she put it on. Its all good, I fixed it.
Anyway, in the morning we just hung out trying to decide what to do. We finally decided to go rock climbing, woohoo. I wasn't a huge fan that particular day, but the girls had fun playing in the dirt ad climbing the rocks. This is Alaina fishing with a stick in the little steam creek thing.

After a much needed nap for me, we went and saw WALL-E. So cute. Loved it.We had a yummy dinner. By then Braelyn and Elise were out and Alaina was exhausted so we left them at the house with Grandma and went to see the fireworks. They were actually pretty neat. I saw a couple I had never seen before! There were ones that did like 5 different things and then we saw a swirly one and a square one. Crazy. I always love the loud FCBs at the end though:)

It was a good birthday. Susan made me a very yummy ice cream cake with "18" and six candles. I missed my parents a lot but they are coming in a few weeks to watch the girls for part of our vacation.
