I Want to Be A Missionary Now

Alaina came up to me this week and told me she was going to give her friend at school a Book of Mormon. I thought, wow, thats brave. Then she said she even wrote in the cover and I thought, woah, shes serious.
She was serious.

"Dere Sami,
read this evry day.
Love Alaina"

Wow. What an awesome kid.

After school, I asked her what happened when she gave her friend the book and she said,
"She was so excited! She said she loves to read and said that she would read it!"

President Uchtdorf (swoon) gave a talk about this, he said:

" He entrusts a testimony of the truth to those who will share it with others...Even more, the Lord expects the members of His Church to 'open their mouths at all times, declaring His gospel with the sound of rejoicing.'
This is not always easy. Some would rather pull a handcart across the prairie than bring up the subject of faith and religion to their friends and co-workers. They worry about how they might be perceived or how it might harm their relationship. It doesn’t need to be that way because we have a glad message to share, and we have a message of joy.
The most effective way to preach the gospel is through example. If we live according to our beliefs, people will notice. If the countenance of Jesus Christ shines in our lives, if we are joyful and at peace with the world, people will want to know why. One of the greatest sermons ever pronounced on missionary work is this simple thought attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi: “Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.”

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so wonderful and we should share it with everyone we know. But most people are afraid of losing a friend or offending someone. I love how children arent afraid of anything and how they just do what they feel is right. Good job being a little missionary Alaina. Youre awesome. I want to be more like you.
