Alaina's Birthday Morning

We started the day with lots of hugs and "Happy Birthday Alaina!"s. She felt special before she even had breakfast!! She said afterward, "I forgot it was my birthday!"

We headed out to work and school with fancy pink cupcakes for her class.

In her classroom the birthday girl gets to wear these really great and extra fancy Minni Mouse ears.

At 10:22 that morning she was working on a book about butterflies and I called her over to sit on my lap. I gave her a huge hug and told her that she is officially six, and that six years ago she came into the world. I told her that we are so grateful for her in our lives and that we are so blessed to be her parents. I told her how special she is to be the oldest, and how she was my first sweet little baby. I told her how she would always be my baby, no matter how old she is. She smiled big, gave me a hug and ran off to finish her work.
Little overachiever :)

Mrs. Durio calls the special birthday girl up to give a little certificate to and all the kids sing happy birthday.

Alaina had been talking for WEEKS about getting a smiley face pancake from IHOP after school on her birthday, literally weeks. So we surprised her and took her there after school. She was pretty excited.

Grammy and Papa in tow, we sat down and ordered our meals.
Minutes after this picture was taken, Caylee threw up on Papa.
Yep.

But that didnt stop Miss Alaina from having a good time.
Love the freckles!!

She had "Happy Birthday" sang to her AGAIN and she got a little sundae, all for her.
She might have shared with Grammy :)

Caylee spent the rest of our lunch date in her jacket, as to not be naked.
She would show a little skin every now and then to remind us that she was indeed, naked.

Even despite the bodily fluids, Alaina had a pretty good birthday morning.

Here are Alaina's classmates singing her Happy Birthday.
