For father's day we got Bret a bike trailer to put the girls in so we can all go for a bike ride together.

We have a child seat that goes on the back of my bike and we just bought a bike trailer for the kids. We were planning on Alaina riding her own bike, putting Braelyn in the child seat and Caylee in her car seat in the trailer. We started getting ready and my back tire was COMPLETELY flat, so we had to change the tube. To get everything in our car we put the trailer and Alaina's bike in the trunk and put the bike rack with mine and Bret's bikes on it. All this took an hour to do. We get to the bike path we want to ride on and Alaina throws a fit because she wants to sit in the trailer and doesn't want to ride her bike. So we tell her she will ride her bike or walk (thinking she would pick to ride) so then she starts walking! So then we have to tell her that she cant actually walk because she cant keep up with us. So she decides finally that its best to ride. So she gets on her bike and starts going and is riding like 1 mph. SO SLOW! I didn't even have the ABILITY to ride that slow. So we went .9 miles in and hour and a half. Braelyn needed to go to the bathroom twice and got to sit on a rock and a scary scary park bathroom. And, it was windy and slightly cold. Caylee started getting hungry toward the end so Bret hooked the trailer to my bike and I took Braelyn and Caylee to the car so I could feed Caylee. It wasn't as hard as I thought to pull. But I bet I looked like a sight with the child carrier on the back of my bike and pulling a trailer!
It was fun and Alaina is getting better. She doesn't like to go fast so she'll slam on her brakes when she gets to go more than walking speed. She did have a fall, but got right back up and on the bike. I was pretty proud of her for that.
The trailer is nice. Its small but it will do for us:) It was good bonding time.

Landon goes super slow on his bike too! I am glad I am not the only one who doesn't have a speed racer;). Life with 3 small kids can be an adventure. I look forward to the day when we can do really fun things when my kids are older, I think that is when I will appreciate having them close together.
Those look like a death trap. Hunter wants one, I refuse. I guess it's because I know how I drive. I'd probably roll over one and think it was a speedbump.
